PADI Instructor needed for stunning island in Malaysia

Minang Cove Resort on Tioman Island is a secluded and beautiful resort, which offers a great opportunity for a fully certified dive instructor.

The successful applicant does not necessarily need any previous experience in running a dive centre, just lots of enthusiasm and energy, and good team player morale.

You will be in charge of our PADI dive centre, and given the opportunity to make it ‘your own’. Duties will be varied, from everyday tasks such a keeping everything clean, tidy and presentable at all times, assuring all relevant forms and logs are filled in, and of course the diving itself!

The chosen applicant should have a proven track record in meeting targets, being part of a team but also able to self motivate. You will be expected to promote diving services within the resort in a professional manner – no hard sell here just an enthusiastic approach to engaging our guests!

We offer a full range of courses, the open water and advanced courses being the most popular. There are many beautiful dive sites around the island, and you will be expected to learn which sites are best and when, so all guests get the most out of their trip.

We also have excellent snorkelling sites, so you will be able to organise trips to these too, and accompany any guests who are less experienced in the water but want a chance to experience the underwater life as well.

Due to the remote location of the resort, this role is best suited to a young and enthusiastic person who is looking for an adventure for 9/10 months – the season starts at the beginning of March 2015 until the end of October. You should be a good team player, and you will be asked to help out around the resort, and not solely based at the dive centre. (Although of course this will be your main priority.)

We run a traditional, relaxed resort and try to keep as much of a family atmosphere as possible between both the guests, and the staff.

The ability to teach English plus other European language is a bonus.
