Great opportunity for Couple in Hamata, Southern Egypt

Do you love the idea of paid diving work in a remote location? Pristine Red Sea diving that’s out of this world, and to top it off you’re the only boat at the dive site?

If so, you may be just what we’re looking for! An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Instructor or Inst./DM couple to head up our small team in Hamata.  We’re looking for hard working people who are passionate about guiding and occasional teaching, and can give our guests the best holiday, bringing them back for more. Busy times mean long days, as a full range of administration tasks will be expected alongside the diving. The ability to become manager(s) of the centre will be limited only by your attitude and aptitude.

This tranquil location is based in a diver friendly resort, offering both shore and boat diving and visiting daily dive sites most only reach on a liveaboard. The Fury Shoals are your playground.

Between the couple, you should have the following attributes:

Fluent English written and spoken (both applicants)

The ability to teach in Italian (at least one applicant)

The ability to meet/greet and guide in German (at least one applicant)

PADI OWSI & Nitrox Instructor (at least one applicant)

PADI DM (or equivalent, the other applicant if not instructor)

Full European driving license (at least one applicant)

Basic computer skills including email, Microsoft Office and social media

Honesty, integrity, passion, ability to work long hours, ability to live away from ‘nightlife’, diplomacy.

Supplemental skills that will greatly improve your application (either applicant):

Other European languages or Arabic at any competency level

Compressor maintenance skills

Regulator and BCD technician (especially Aqualung)

Additional or multi agency diving professional diving certifications

Freediving certification advanced/professional

Previous experience managing small diving centres or working in remote locations

Previous experience in the hospitality trade such as restaurants, bars and hotels
