DIVE INSTRUCTOR / WATERSPORTS MANAGER – 2015

Danforth Yachting situated on Lake Malawi, (eastern central Africa) is looking to fill the post of watersports / activities / scuba diving instructor, to form part of the guest entertainment and guest interaction team at a small, busy, lakeside lodge. The position is open to single applicants, male and female, or to a couple.

Attributes:
Applicant must be a PADI registered, paid up and current dive instructor with experience.
Must be a true watersports / beach person.
Aged between 25 – 35 years
Well-presented and clean living.
Must be fluent in English
Must have a sociable character and enjoy being with people in a hosting capacity.
Must be confident with boat handling; driving power boats and launching boats with a practical knowledge of boats and engines.
Good to have, but not essential are sailing skills for catamaran and dingy sailing.
The ability to service equipment, both diving equipment and other boating equipment would be useful.

Job description:
Arrange daily activities for the guests and lead dives.
PADI dive tuition. OW and Advanced Courses, DSD, refresher.
Maintain and check dive gear and all watersports equipment.
Arrange and lead snorkel trips to the islands
Waterski instruction, tube rides, wakeboarding, slalom ski pull.
Ski boat launch
Fuel checks, boat checks.
Hobie cat, Dart and Laser sailing
Kayaks
Games and entertainment.
Bar duties. Help run and restock the bar.
General Lodge duties as assigned.

Package
US$ 1,250.00 per month. NETT pay.
Live in position. Meals provided.
Comfortable accommodation. En-suite bedroom, hot water showers, use of a spacious TV lounge, kitchen and private garden.
Free use of water sports equipment.
1 day off per week.
Available to start on the 1st March 2015
3 months initial contract. Thereafter a 1 year contract renewable
