JOB DESCRIPTION IN SUMMARY

AMERICAN COUPLE WITH STRONG CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS NEEDED TO MANAGE RESORT IN THE ATOLL AREAOF BELIZE, CENTRAL AMERICA 

REQUIREMENTS:

REQUIRE TO LIVE ON ISLAND

MUST POSSESS A VALID DIVE MASTER’S LICENSE

HAVE MINIMUN OF FIVE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MANAGEMENT OF A REMOTE RESORT

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Manage in areas as follows:

Briefing and Welcoming guests on their arrival/departure.

Fully satisfy the needs of our clients/guests by exceeding expectations

Manage inventory control and monitor the usage of restaurant and bar supplies, ensuring that there is maximum usage of supplies.

Supervise staff in areas of housekeeping; bartending, kitchen and waitress services.

Implement quality assurance in regards to laundry sanitation; housekeeping decors and food preparation.

Prepare and submit weekly reports as follows:

Bar tabs for deductions from salary- end of month

Time and activity sheets for each employee- payroll purposes – twice per month

Credit/Visa payments attach to sales receipts; cash inflows – Weekly

Guest registration forms- completed for BTB – weekly

Reports on tips received from guests – weekly

Prepare and submit weekly orders to head-office for the following-(by Monday afternoon of each week:

Staff/Guests lists on food supplies

Bartender liquor list and stock sheets

Housekeeping and Maintenance list as required

Gift Shop Sales and Inventory balances

Other:

Check that meals are prepared and presented ‘On Time” and that sufficient food are available.

See that comment sheet is given out on Friday to each guest and collected on Saturday morning to be sent in a sealed envelope to City Office address to “ Ms. Michaela Feinstein”

Verify that a fresh drink be served as complementary to guests upon their arrival, on Island.

On Friday, have a farewell get together with snacks etc.

Verify that Housekeepers turn down beds and put chocolate/kisses as a complimentary each evening

Maintenance of grounds; beaches & machines:

Supervise and verify that all areas surrounding cabanas; beaches; restaurant and all buildings are kept clean and tidy at all times.

Manage the garbage disposal appropriately, separating items for disposal to be sent off the island.

Maintain equipment on the island, as needed, reporting all breakdown immediately for rectification.

Verify that one week supply of fuel and other lubricants are available at all times.

Generators should be appropriately used, while guests are on the Island.  Conserve electricity, to reduce cost, when practicable.

Finally – do a weekly report to the owners on all activities pertaining to the Resort.
